Parents,
Please fill out this very short survey about your child's access to online learning. (This is the same survey that is linked in our newsletter link above.) Thank you! Online Learning Survey Check the Royal Teach Websites for Virtual School. Many teachers have posted resources to keep kids engaged. Some teachers are using Google Classroom like they did for online work while school was in session.

Spectrum Cable is offering FREE INTERNET for 60 days with installation fees waived for new customers. Call: 844-488-8395 From the 3/20/20 WCPSS Update to Covid-19: Please note that lessons found on this site will not be graded. This is simply a place where you can find appropriate materials for your child that will supplement their learning while students are out of school. New material will be added to the website. The current resources are designed to address an immediate need during the second week of school closures. We appreciate the significant differences between remote instruction and the value of face-to-face interactions in the classroom. Remote learning cannot replace classroom instruction. However, we do believe these resources will help your child continue to learn and grow. Because remote learning depends on internet access, we are working to provide consistent access to mobile devices and internet at home. If you are reading this on your phone and do not have home internet access, we encourage you to contact Spectrum Cable, which is offering 60 days of internet access for free. The number is 844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households. Teacher Availability Your schools were provided access to the WCPSS Remote Learning Resources website yesterday. Your teachers, in turn, may contact you with more information about keeping your child engaged. In the meantime, it is important that all of us - families, students, administrators, and the community - recognize and understand that some of our teachers are also struggling during this pandemic. Many have children or older family members of their own who depend on them. We ask that you please be considerate of your teacher’s personal situation. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted everyone’s life. Again, please note that the activities found on this website will not be graded. The materials are meant to provide students with practice and review materials. Take care of yourself and your families in the coming days and weeks. We know there are many questions that still need answers. We are communicating with state leaders on those questions. Guidance in those areas will come from them. These are the types of events that define us as a community. Helping your child remain engaged in learning is a small, but extremely important, step in ensuring we are stronger when this pandemic ends. The annual WCPSS Student Survey is now available in both English and Spanish. The survey is currently active and will remain available until April 1. We would like all students in grades 5-12 to take the survey. Students will need their PowerSchool ID and the survey link: https://surlogin.wcpss.net/ to access the survey.
On the Royal Team, students will take this survey during Wolf Time. It should only be taken one time. |
